Contrail is played under real skies. Every card in the game began as an actual aircraft passing over an actual collector.
The Radar shows live traffic around you out to a 5 NM radius. When an aircraft enters your circle, you can catch it — one tap, and it’s held. Callsign, type, operator, altitude, speed and route are captured at the moment of the catch.
A catch mints a card: the aircraft’s photo, registration, livery name and the flight data from your catch. The same airframe can exist as different variants — a standard VH-OJB and a Black Edition VH-OJB are different cards with separate mint runs.
Every variant belongs to an edition, and every copy is serial-numbered within its mint run. Low serials of small runs are the cards collectors chase.
Each card’s serial — like N°0360 — lives in the public Registry with its variant, mint run, catch location and current owner. Scan the QR on any card to open its verification page and confirm it’s genuine.
Everything you hold lives in the Hangar — filterable by edition, searchable by type or registration. Stats, streaks, airports visited and crew leaderboards build up around it. Your best cards can be shown on your public collector profile.
